Data protection and information security have become central concerns in the digital age with important legal implications for organisations and individuals. Breaches of personal data security can have significant consequences for organisations, such as reputational damage, financial loss and legal liability. It is therefore essential for organisations to have a robust breach response plan in place, and to implement privacy-compliant technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk or, where appropriate, the impact assessment analysed, by design and by default, always on the basis of compliance with the principles of personal data protection and information security.
